Sandra has been awarded a Junior Leader Fellowship from LaCaixa. With a less than 5% success rate, this competitive fellowship provides to the grantees with the opportunity and the funds to develop a 3 years project and with the support and training to become a leader of the future. 

The project, 3D Electromatch, will study the unbalanced electrochemical environment of osteoarthritic knees, providing a tissue regeneration based solution to the problem.
