Ane Llucia Salvador studied Biomedical Engineering at Tecnun – University of Navarra. During her BSc she worked on the detection of intragenic breakpoints and subsequent survival analysis of breast cancer patients. Besides, she had been in Biodonostia Health Research Institute analysing the in vitro efficacy of some compounds in Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
In 2021 she moved to A Coruña to pursue her MSc in Advanced Biotechnology. Then she returned to Donostia to carry out her master’s thesis in the BioSmarTE group (Polymat), where she worked on the generation of vasculature for glioblastoma model via 3D printing. Ane is currently working on a PhD research project in the BioSmarTE group under the supervision of Sandra Camarero-Espinosa. The research project focuses on the application of 3D bioprinting and tissue engineering for tendon development.
